Polar Caves’ Animal Park located on the grand concourse is home to three species of rare and domestic animals. The Animal Park is the perfect start for your Polar Caves adventure.
Our Fallow Deer are originally from Europe. Smaller than White-Tailed deer we commonly see in the Northeast, Fallow Deer can grow up to five-feet-long, and just under three feet tall. Our herd loves treats so bring quarters to feed the deer corn or buy a bag as you enter the Park. Fallow Deer live all over the world – from South America, to Israel, Australia to the Bahamas. How cool is that?
PC Explorer Fact: A Fallow Deer can live up to 16 years, and male deer don’t start to develop horns until they’re two years old.
In addition to our herd of Fallow Deer, Polar Caves is home to pheasants from around the world and a variety of ducks. Grab some snacks and help us keep all of our animals happy! They love people – especially kids bearing treats!
